The Blue Picardy is a rare breed of dog originating in Picardy, France.  It has gained popularity in Canada recently and is recognized by the Canadian Kennel Club.  This sporting breed excels in the field as a working dog and is being recognized as an wonderful family companion.

Blue Picardies are athletic, intelligent and incredibly affectionate.  Their biddable nature makes them easy to train and their fun, sweet temperments quickly endear them as beloved pets.  They have easy care coats and generally mature under the 80 pound mark making them the ideal medium sized dog.  These dogs are not registered with the AKC and are relatively unknown in the United States.  They are beautiful animals inside and out; and once you’ve owned one, you’ll never want another breed!
